MSMEs are the backbone of the State’s economy, and the government has to offer a slew of incentives for the growth and development of the MSMEs in the State - DV Manohar, former Chairman, CII AP & CMD of Shri Shakti Resorts & Hotels

Hyderabad: Telangana has emerged as one among the leading States with the best startup ecosystem in India. The local startups are competing with their peers across the country and other parts of the world. The State government must encourage the young entrepreneurs to set up more and more startups, says DV Manohar, former chairman of CII Andhra Pradesh (undivided) and Chairman & Managing Director of Shri Shakti Resorts & Hotels Ltd. Giving recommendations on the ways to fuel industrial growth in the State, he urged the government to further boost the startup ecosystem by providing necessary support to the young entrepreneurs. “The State government must announce some perks to the startups. With this, huge employment will be generated and the economic development will be improved in the State,” he said.

“Another important requirement is uninterrupted power supply to the industry. Due to the ongoing power disruptions in the State, the industrialists are worried about the future of the manufacturing sector. To run the factories and workshops successfully in the State, the government should provide round-the-clock power to the industrial sector,” Manohar suggested. He added that the micro, small & medium enterprises (MSMEs) are the backbone of the State’s economy, and the government has to offer a slew of incentives for the growth and development of the MSMEs in the State.
